Vancouver International Airport Chauffeur Service | YVR Private Transfer

Flat-rate transfers to and from Vancouver International, with cruise-season expertise, float-plane pickups at the South Terminal, and downtown pickups in under ten minutes.

Vancouver International · YVR

Vancouver International is one of North America's better-run airports — quiet arrivals halls, clear signage, and a chauffeur pickup area that actually works. Our YVR service is dispatched from downtown Vancouver so hotel pickups arrive quickly, and we run seasonal capacity for the Alaska cruise months when YVR-to-Canada-Place transfers double.

Most downtown Vancouver hotels are 25–35 minutes from Vancouver International via the Arthur Laing Bridge, with the Oak Street Bridge as the reliable alternate when the Laing backs up in summer. Our dispatchers monitor both and route accordingly the morning of your ride.

For arrivals, chauffeurs meet you at the Level 2 arrivals meeting point inside the terminal — International or Domestic depending on where your flight lands. For departures, drop-off is at the Level 3 departures curb next to your airline's check-in cluster.

YVR also has a South Terminal on the far side of Sea Island for float planes and regional carriers — a facility most ride-share drivers overlook. We regularly pick up South Terminal passengers, as well as float-plane arrivals at Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre in Coal Harbour.

How it works

Booking a Vancouver International transfer, step by step

1

Book with flight or float-plane details

Enter your inbound flight number or float-plane arrival time. Our system links to live flight data and adjusts if you land early or late.

2

Flight tracking, no delay charges

We monitor your flight from wheels-up. If Vancouver International arrivals are delayed by weather or Trans-Pacific late departures, pickup reschedules automatically.

3

Meet inside the terminal

Chauffeur waits at the Level 2 arrivals meeting point (Main or International) with a name sign. First hour of arrivals wait is included.

4

Direct downtown or Sea-to-Sky drop

Choose downtown Vancouver, a Coal Harbour cruise hotel, or a Whistler transfer. Fare is priced end-to-end.

Flight tracking

We monitor your flight and adjust pickup at no extra charge.

Delays are the top question for airport transfers. Our answer is simple: your inbound flight is monitored from wheels-up, pickup reschedules automatically, and you are never charged for the airline's delay.

  • Every Vancouver International booking is linked to live inbound flight data as soon as you confirm.

  • If a Trans-Pacific inbound is delayed for winter weather or a Vancouver approach is holding, dispatch reschedules pickup automatically.

  • The first 60 minutes of wait after landing is included, which covers standard international customs and baggage times.

Terminals guide

Meet-and-greet at each YVR terminal

Vancouver International has 3 terminals — your chauffeur is routed to the correct one automatically when you book with a flight number.

Main

Main Terminal (Domestic)

Domestic flights within Canada.

Airlines

  • Air Canada domestic
  • WestJet domestic
  • Flair, Porter

Arrivals meet-and-greet

Level 2 (Arrivals) meeting point — chauffeurs wait past the baggage claim exit doors with a name sign.

Departures drop-off

Level 3 (Departures) curbside at the airline's check-in row.

Good to know: Compact and easy to navigate. Domestic flights don't require customs, so meeting up after landing is typically the fastest of any Vancouver arrival.

Int'l

International Terminal

International arrivals and departures, including U.S. transborder.

Airlines

  • Air Canada international
  • United, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific
  • Japan Airlines, ANA, Air China
  • British Airways, KLM, Air France

Arrivals meet-and-greet

Level 2 international arrivals meeting point — outside the customs exit. Chauffeurs display a name sign at the exit railings.

Departures drop-off

Level 3 international departures curb. U.S. transborder flights pre-clear U.S. customs at YVR, so build extra time on the departure side.

Good to know: YVR is a major Trans-Pacific hub. International arrivals from Asia land primarily in the morning; a mid-morning pickup should assume up to 45 minutes for customs and baggage.

South

South Terminal

Float planes, regional carriers, and Sea-to-Sky helicopter operators.

Airlines

  • Harbour Air (float planes)
  • Pacific Coastal Airlines
  • Regional turboprop operators

Arrivals meet-and-greet

Kiss-and-fly curbside at the South Terminal building — a separate facility on Grauer Road, roughly 5 minutes from the main terminals.

Departures drop-off

Same curbside. Small building with short walks from vehicle to check-in.

Good to know: A separate facility that most ride-share drivers do not know how to find. If you're on Harbour Air or Pacific Coastal, be explicit at booking that it's the South Terminal — not the main YVR building.

Pricing

Flat rates. No surge. No surprises.

Every Vancouver International transfer is priced up-front. You see the exact fare before you confirm — including tolls where applicable and gratuity by tier.

Flat-rate Vancouver transfers

Downtown Vancouver, Coal Harbour, North Shore, and Richmond pickups are all flat-rate by postal code and vehicle tier.

Cruise-season pricing is stable

Fares don't spike during Alaska cruise embarkation weekends between May and September, unlike ride-share surge on peak Saturday mornings.

South Terminal covered

Float-plane pickups at YVR South and Coal Harbour Flight Centre are priced the same as main-terminal transfers.

Whistler day-trip pricing

For YVR-to-Whistler direct transfers, we price end-to-end for the Sea-to-Sky Highway drive.

YVR FAQ

Common questions about Vancouver International transfers

Do you pick up at YVR South Terminal for float-plane flights?

Yes. YVR South is a separate facility on Grauer Road, about 5 minutes from the main terminals, and we pick up there regularly for Harbour Air, Pacific Coastal, and other regional carriers. Note the terminal explicitly at booking so the chauffeur is routed directly to the South Terminal — not the main terminal.

How does the chauffeur handle a delayed international flight?

We monitor your flight and adjust pickup at no extra charge. Trans-Pacific inbounds are especially prone to timing shifts because of winds and holding patterns; our dispatch reschedules automatically, and the first hour of wait after landing is included at no cost.

How much does a downtown Vancouver to YVR transfer cost?

Fares are flat-rate by pickup postal code and vehicle tier, starting with our Sedan class and rising through Comfort SUV, Elite Luxury SUV, and First Class. You'll see the exact price before you confirm. There is no surge pricing during cruise weekends or the Friday PM airport rush.

Can you meet me before U.S. transborder pre-clearance?

For departures on U.S.-bound flights, drop-off is at the international departures curb before you clear U.S. customs at YVR. Build extra time — U.S. pre-clearance lines at Vancouver International can add 30–60 minutes at peak. For arrivals from the U.S., meet-and-greet is at the domestic arrivals meeting point since pre-clearance means you exit as a domestic arrival.

Do you coordinate cruise-day pickups from Canada Place?

Yes. During Alaska cruise season, we run coordinated YVR-to-Canada-Place transfers on embarkation mornings, staggering group arrivals against the cruise line's boarding window. For disembarkation, we can pick up at Canada Place and transfer directly to Vancouver International for onward flights the same day.

How long is the drive from Vancouver International to Whistler?

Direct YVR to Whistler Village on the Sea-to-Sky Highway (Highway 99) is roughly 2.25 hours — about 30 minutes longer than downtown Vancouver to Whistler because of the extra drive back through the city. In winter, add buffer for chain-up delays around Squamish.
